Metallic foams are much lighter that solid materials thanks to their special structure. In combination with other materials, special custom materials can be created with properties and attributes tailored to specific applications. The research project “InSeL” stands for innovative foam structures for efficient lightweighting. The project creates functionally optimized lightweight materials for industrial applications based on porous foam structures. More Information
